From 1931 to 1934 Ola Cohn carved fairies, dwarfs, gnomes and Australian birds and animals on an original Red Gum stump over 300 years old 'for the fairies and those who believe in them'. She used the natural irregularities and curves of the stump to create a thing of beauty.
