My recently published lightbox contains images of the jewel-like orchid flowers from the Singapore Botanic Gardens collection. Native to many countries, they've been known in China since the ancient times. They were cultivated in elegant gardens, painted by artists and written about by scholars. The orchids also had, and still have their place in the Chinese medicine.
